Adventure Cycling Association (ACA) regional meeting
Meet Greg Siple, co-founder of ACA back in 1973, co-founder of Ohio’s Tour of the Scioto River Valley (more than a decade before that!), one of the original Hemistour riders, and the nation’s leading photographer and historian of bicycle touring! Greg will tell you about the history and current projects of ACA.
Also present, and dodging rotten fruit, will be John Schubert, technical editor of Adventure Cyclist Magazine since 1988.

on the West side of 8th Avenue between Union and Broad Sts.

How to get there:
General comment:
This is during Bethlehem’s city-wide week-long festival, Musikfest. If you arrive by bike, no problem. Just gently slither through the crowds.
If you arrive by car, please use these driving directions to skirt around Musikfest and its gridlock.
Want to enjoy a Sunday afternoon? come early, park near the DAR house and walk a mile downtown to Muskifest (just head East on Broad Street). Have lots of beer, funnel cakes, deep fried Oreos, deep fried cheesecake, and giant strawberry shortcake. Oh, and the variety and quality of music acts will dellight you. There’s free bike parking for Musikfest attendees at Third Avenue and also at City Hall.
Driving directions:
Use own navigation to get on US Route 22 (an East-West route a few miles north of Bethlehem)
Exit for PA 378 south.
Exit for 8th Avenue. Turn right at end of exit ramp to head south.
Straight at traffic light for Union Boulevard (unless you park on Union, which is a good idea! There is on-street parking only on the south side of Union Boulevard.)
The DAR house will be on your right, 100 yards after the Union Boulevard intersection.
There is on-street parking on that block of 8th Avenue.
There is more on-street parking on the next cross street, W. Broad Street.
Caution: if you turn left (eastbound) on Broad Street, you’ll soon get snared in Musikfest gridlock (and lack of parking).
Alternate directions:
Use own navigation to go to Allentown. Head East out of Allentown on Hanover Avenue. Hanover Avenue becomes Broad Street. When you get close to 8th Ave., look for a parking space. The DAR house is north (left) on the left side of 8th Avenue.
